February - the Month for Lovers
January is over and we're half way through February - how have you done so far with your New Year's resolutions? Whether you're right on track and seeing great results or if you haven't been able to accomplish anything you wanted to ....
2004 IS THE YEAR FOR CHANGE!
In numerology 2004 breaks down (2+0+0+4) to equal the number 6
6 means this is a GREAT YEAR FOR:
STEPS FOR CHANGE - REALIZING YOUR GOALS & DESIRES
1- Trite but true - write down everything you want and desire
Keep what you write handy & read it daily. To reaffirm to your mind that you really want to accomplish or desire these things
2- Put a future date to achieve it (remember this date must be reasonable and believable to be achievable!) - We are all influenced by time lines and dead lines, use this to your advantage and decide when you'd like to see this goal completed.
3- What do you fear if you DON'T accomplish this Goal?(write it down)
Fear is our strongest emotion; you must recognize it and face it. What is the worst thing that can happen to you if this goal isn't accomplished? Go deep, look at the very worst scenario and write it down.
4- What do you fear if you DO accomplish this Goal? (write it down) - Again, we all have fears about what will happen or who we will become if we obtain our hearts desires. An example would be a person who wants to lose weight. Their body is hanging on to the weight because it thinks it is protecting them. What might they fear will happen to them or their life if they lose the weight? Would more be expected of you if you accomplish your goals? Go deep and write it down.
5- Create an 'Energy Circle' daily. Place 'I AM' statements into the energy circle.
6- Visualize having already achieved/received your desire/goal - at least 10 minutes daily. Close your eyes, take three deep cleansing breathes and feel what you would feel like if you already had what you want? What does your life look like, feel like, sound like, taste like? How does your heart and spirit feel? What clothes are you wearing? What does your hair look like?
7- Tap it in! - Tap in all the positive feelings that your visualization just created. Tap on your head, close to your ears, tapping all around the ear from front to back. (for more info on tapping click here).
8- Stay in Gratitude - Make a list of what you are currently grateful for. Can't think of anything? Look around you, how about your home, car, family, snow, grass, water, indoor plumbing, flowers in winter, chocolate, bubble baths'-you get the idea. Looking at what you're thankful for puts you into an energy that allows miracles to take place in achieving your goals/desires.
9- Tell someone - email me each time one of your goals is accomplished. Then set a new goal/desire to take its place, creating a continuous energy of desire and success
10- Clear out 10 items - to get the clearing, new energy flowing, Feng Shui suggests that you clear out at least 10% of the items in each room of your house. So start with 10 items. Whatever needs to be given away or trashed - this means in your closets too. Each night for a week, go into a different room, toss out trash, box up give away items and then throw them out and/or give them away, NOW!

NEW MOON - February 20th - Friday -- there will be a new moon.
What does this have to do with me, you ask?
It's the time to commit to all new projects and intentions. On this day, do Energy Circles in every room of your house that you'd like to encourage a positive influence for advancement of these goals.
Make copies of your goals and desires and place them in each room and say a prayer in these rooms or perform some type of special ritual to give gratitude and then to set your intention for achieving each goal/desire.
To create an energy circle, draw an imaginary circle in front of you creates energy circles. Then energetically, put your intentions, desires, goals into the circle. (In a hurry? That's okay, whenever I don't have time to do my energy circle before leaving the house, I just start creating a circular motion with my hand while driving in the car.)
Next, place your statements into the circle using "I AM" statements.
Example:
You get the general idea, and yes, these are some of the affirmations that I use daily in my energy circles. Make sure to fine tune your intentions/I am statements to suit your personal needs, goals and desires.
When you have all the statements placed into your 'circle', jump into the circle and pat the 'energy' all over your body. Pat it into your feet, legs, torso, arms, face, head, etc. Breathe it into your mouth and blow it out to the universe with the thought or statement, "Bring it back to me universe, 10 fold!" (Just a note: when driving, I just pat it into my torso, head, etc. and with thought place it into the balance of my body - no causing accidents by reaching for your legs or feet!!!
I know that this is very uncomfortable and feels really foreign to most people. That's okay. Discomfort doesn't mean it shouldn't be done or that it doesn't work. I have discomfort when I'm sick or struggling financially or getting angry. This is a body-learning tool to remind your body, mind, spirit and heart of what your intentions, goals and desires are. Try it and if you continue to do it daily, you will start to see major shifts in these areas of your life.
FEBRUARY - THE MONTH FOR LOVERS
A great book to read this month is The Five Languages of Love by Gary Chapman. In it Gary discusses the 5 love languages that we speak to each other. They are:
1- QUALITY TIME - Can be expressed either through those intimate tet-a-tet discussions or via doing things together. Usually, any time spent together is considered showing love to this person
2- WORDS OF AFFIRMATION - Needs to hear praise to know that they are loved. May also prefer to express self with verbal affection. Negative comments cut right to the bone. This person wants to hear that they're loved and how much and why.
3- TOUCH - This person wants to give and/or receive affection physically. This may or may not be centered around sex. Holding hands on a walk or with arms around each other are very important. Massaging the neck while talking to them, etc. For this person it is as important to be allowed to give touch as well as receive it.
4- ACTS OF SERVICE - They prefer to show love through favors and chores and doing things for others. Feel put-upon and unappreciated when their efforts are taken for granted.
5- GIFTS - This person is moved by presents and physical tokens of affection. It's the fact that someone is thinking about them enough to give them something that moves them. The objects are of secondary importance to the relationship and sentiment with which they were intended.
Recognize yourself in any of these areas? Recognize your significant other? What about each of your children? Make a commitment this month to speak your partner's love language at least 2 times this month and see what happens.
